"Burning down the house", a portrait done by David LaChapelle of the deceased Alexander McQueen and his muse Isabella blow has been acquired by the National Portrait Gallery. This is the first portrait of the artist that LaChapelle has purchased the gallery, and has been exhibited in the United Kingdom for the first time this past month of October. The portrait of McQueen and Blow, considered to be the muse of McQueen at the time, was originally published in March 1997 in Vanity Fair.
